[Epigraph]
"To participate in the endless cycle
of modulated emotional choices --
the struggle of negativity and hope,
and the turning of this crazy world of ours --
is inescapable; but in my work,
optimism invariably wins and the vision
of a better, artist created world prevails."

Gallery LICHTUNDFIRE opening April 13th
The show is titled TOTEM and TABOO. Its well-curated selection features
five of my paintings, ranging from medium to smaller in size, but outsize in
their contribution of color and textural complexity.
The following then is a mostly visual record of my images and of the very
enjoyable vernissage itself.
"Morningside - Beyond the Pillars of Heracles", 30 x 30 in. (76 x 76 cm), Oil
stick, acrylic, & mixed textural media on wood panel, 2021
Presenting to you Lichtundfire Director, Priska Juschka, the show's curator
"In the Spirit of Fire" 24 x 24 in. (61 x 61 cm), Oil stick, acrylic, pigment, &
mixed media on wood panel, 2017
"Count O'litski", 24 x 36 in. (61 x 91 cm), Oil stick, acrylic, glass beads &
mixed textural media on wood panel , 2017
A pair of particularly experimental paintings follows, embracing the spirit and subject of this show.
"The Name of the Wind", 20 x 30 in. (51 x 76 cm), Oil stick, acrylic, &
textural and mixed media on wood panel, 2018
"Who Knows a Thorn from a Rose", 18 x 18 in. (46 x 46 cm), Acrylic, collage
& textural media on wood panel, 2017
It is probably fair to end this visual journey with a pair of young lovers, to
take the stock of the future of our art audience and the promise they
perhaps represent. Art for the young and the young at heart!
