I bought five yellow tulips and gave one away. I put them in luke warm water in a blue glass by the window. At first they were tight and closed, but in the heat they began to open. The petals branched out softly to reveal the white pistils and black stamens on the inner petals. As I have had them for a week they open and close, but never as tightly as when I first put them in water. Now the petals have folded back and the pistils are erect like a phallus. Within the tulip are both the masculine and feminine sex, which allows it in itself to reproduce.
