Found April 25, 2012 off Pt. Reyes, California caught in a Japanese fishing net
Dear hello, I hope you read this before i can no longer stay awake, before my mind goes blank and my eyes see nothing. I stuffed this note in a Pouilly Fuisse wine bottle and tried to seal the cork with bug wax. If you are reading then it worked. I am on a beach somewhere on an island in the Marianas I think. Not sure. It has been night, dark for days, I think days. Maybe weeks. The sky is dark, very few stars. I sleep short times and when I wake up there are long bright shadows, shafts of light that shimmer over the water. They keep coming toward me and when I yell at them they back away. We were sailing when we crashed into it. No we were flying. My friend is dead and I buried her over there on a rock. No, that's not true, that's a hallucination like the shafts of light. Except they are real. There is no friend. I'm not complaining. I have plenty of water and food and I feel great. Just wanted to say hello.

Found November 22, 2011 on a beach at Dutch Harbor, Alaska after an unusually high tide
My name is Jip and I'm a monkey, a lttle brown monkey and I live on a boat in the old harbor in Singapore. It's my jail. My keeper keeps my foot tied to a ring and he feeds me fruit and seeds and something that makes me go woozy. He won't let me do anything for fun. Once I got out and ran through the market at the end of the dock and turned everything over and made a lot of noise and that's why he tied me up. O.k., I'm not a monkey. I'm a little brown girl person and I'm eleven years old and I'm bored. My phone is 65092268. Call me and I'll tell you about Jip. Please? You'll love him. And please hold on to this jar. It's special.
