Artist Statement
Lots of painters over
the years have wanted to
write something about what
they do, their ideas,
their theories on
painting, etc., although I
believe all painters
understand that they
cannot actually describe
what happens when they are
painting, what they are
feeling, what they are
thinking, what is
compelling them to use
this color or that color,
and so on.
That is a phenomenon not
so easily described, like
the process of composing
music.
