Story-line: On Christmas Eve, Paul and Chloe realize their differences.
SCENE ONE
An apartment in the West Village - NY. Paul (35) is face to face with Chloe (28). A suitcase lies on the floor.
PAUL
Chloe, you never liked Christmas!
CHLOE
What's wrong with going for New Year's Eve, Paul?
PAUL
But you hate the night.
CHLOE
And you the day.
PAUL
Sure.
CHLOE
You love beach... I love mountains. What's the matter? I love many things...
PAUL
Like art?
CHLOE
Yeah. I love art as you love sports.
PAUL
Your dream is traveling around the world, right?
CHLOE
And you don't want to leave New York.
PAUL
Is it the end?
CHLOE
Not for me… It's the beginning.
(Paul picks up the suitcase and when he is leaving.)
CHLOE
Merry Christmas.
PAUL
What?
CHLOE
Merry Christmas.
PAUL
Merry Christmas.
(Paul is leaving.)
CHLOE
Please, don't go!
(Paul stops.)
PAUL
Why, Chloe?
CHLOE
I don't know… just don't go.
(Paul drops the bag on the floor.)
CHLOE
I hate everything about you...
PAUL
Me too.
CHLOE
But without you, how am I going to hate all of that?
(Paul and Chloe kiss. We hear a Christmas song.)
(CURTAIN.)
