The Rising Sun Peformance company Seeks Directors, Assistant Directors & Stage Managers for its 2005 & 2006 Season For the Following Productions: The Crucible by Arthur
Miller (Fall 2005), Outdoor Staging of Lysistrata and Alice in Wonderland (Both July/August 2005), The House of Yes by Wendy McLeod (Spring 2006). All shows to be performed in Manhattan. The Rising
Sun Performance Company has ongoing need for professional, emerging and student directors for all of their productions. Directors MUST be willing to work in a collaborative environment in a grassroots level
Non-Profit Theatre Company, be willing to cast from within the stock company and have boundless Talent, Creativity, and Flexibility. No Pay but a great opportunity to build resume, networking, and
resources.
Established in the autumn of 2001, The Rising Sun Performance Company was created with the intent to provide tri-state area theatrical artists with a supportive network community that encourages and presents outlets for creation, growth, exploration and risk taking to diversify and expand beyond the traditional theatre audience. Based in New York City, The Rising Sun Performance Company is run by artists for artists to allow them to create their own opportunities instead of their opportunities creating them. RSPC accepts unsolicited submissions year round. RSP is a repertory company that is always in need of new talent. RSPC hires based on talent and need, we pride ourselves in showcasing fresh, fledging artists alongside of upstart professional artists in a supportive theatre community that nurtures its artists, without biased of race, sex, religion, color or creed. We focus on talent and potential, rather than resumes and credentials. While training and experience are important aspects, and are taken into consideration; RSPC encourage new artists to apply. One of our missions is to give exposure and experience to today's new talent of tomorrow's great stages.
