It's Walmart on a Wednesday morning
I stopped in for some decadent oatmeal snacks
They used to be 99¢, now they're $1.47
That's the price you pay for inflation, Jack
I'm one of those smelly Walmart shoppers
That Peter Strzok once denounced
But I know where the deodorant aisle is sir
I've been there more often than I can count
That canary in the coal mine has long since died
But my Walmart like a fortress steadfastly endures
It's where I buy my vegetables and meat
And my super-duper organic garden manure
There are madmen marching across the parking lot
They are partly fact, partly fiction…marching contradictions
Chanting "THIS IS THE
REAL AMERICA PEOPLE;
THIS IS THE REAL
AMERICA"
But whatever their faults, they have a keen grasp of the human condition
The flag is flying at half-mast, it's a common sight
There's a battle raging on aisle number ten
The haves and the have nots haven't forgot
That you shouldn't get caught on that damn deodorant aisle again
It's Walmart on a Wednesday morning
