Scene4 is an International Magazine of Arts and Culture which has published over 300 issues for the last 25 years. It is a monthly. Which means it doesn't stress timely news and the Culture part rarely deals with politics, so I'll keep this brief.
As you needn't guess
from the title of this
column, my feet were
urging my head to dance
in the face of the
spectre that is growing
like a tornado out of
Washington D.C. It is a
dark coup that mirrors
history's rash of coups
especially those in the
20th century. An
ignorant, uneducated
hustler in his white
silk suit and white
patent-leather shoes is
striding the boardwalk
as his ventures
continue to fail and
dismember everything he
touches, including the
boardwalk.
Half of America's electorate doesn't care.
Enough said. Michael
Bettencourt in this
issue says it better,
starkly poignant and
starkly pointed.

Scene4's Arts and Culture, America's Arts and Culture, the World's Arts and Culture are the threatened victims… they are everything.
As Michael says in his denouement:
"Be a shame to see it pass away."
My denouement:
"If it does, we deserve it."
